27: Grapes
are growing. I have about 2" of growth on most vines. So
it is going to be another early year. Shit! I hate picking grapes
in August. Am sure the Global Warming people will make hay out
of this. I too think things are warming up, but not for the
reasons they shout about. I think it just a normal long term
cycle. Not much to do about it either way.
My 2002 Syrah and Barbera just won a Silver at the "New
World International Wine Competition" http://www.nwiwc.com/
Was thinking of a gold, but what the hell. Silver is better
that nothing. First contest of the year, just getting started!
Have about 5 more to go. Decided to enter everything that was
important this year.
